HS2 have advised that Station Road will be closed between Lakin Drive and Depper's Bridge on 8th and 9th February. HS2 said

"We sincerely apologise for issues resulting from road closures for getting the power supply energised for the HS2 Long Itchington Wood tunnel boring machine and the resulting impact on you and your community. We acknowledge that, in this instance, we have fallen short in providing advance warning of the decision to work on two roads at the same time.

We are writing to you to provide an update about our works for the Long Itchington Wood Utilities.

Following our recent notification Ref: HS2-EW-LM-Ph1-Ar-No-N1-Traf-18-01/11/2021, we notified you of remedial works that need to be carried along the B4452 and B4451 between Ufton and Bishops Itchington. Upon starting these works, we found further issues that needed to be urgently repaired. This meant that our anticipated closure dates had to be adapted and resulted in us having to close the B4452 between the A425 and Butt Lane and the B4452 between Butt Lane and Deppers bridge concurrently for a short period of time.

We apologise again for any inconvenience this has caused and are aware that this was not our initial plan. However, we have worked hard to get the B4452 between the A425 and Butt Lane back open for the local community and we want to do the same for the outstanding works.

The additional works has meant that the dates for subsequent road closures has changed and are as follows:

- Ongoing to 7 February - Deppers Bridge B4452 closed between Butt Lane and Station Road.

- 8 to 9 February - Station Road B4451 closed between Deppers Bridge and Lakin Drive. (this is the latest update)

These works may be subject to further change – for the most up to date information please go to https://hs2inwarwicks.commonplace.is/news and for the latest works notifications please go to https://hs2inwarwicks.commonplace.is/proposals/works-in-your-area.

Access will still be maintained for households and businesses along both routes and a clearly signposted diversion will be in place.  We will also ensure that all road signage reflects approved changes.

All works are subject to consent, site and weather conditions. Dates are also subject to change.

Our teams may be on site one hour before and one hour after the works to set up and secure the site at the end of each day. You may hear noise from machinery during working hours and experience potential traffic delays in the area".
