We are pleased to announce that more progress is being made with the project to develop a new sports pavilion for the village:

AT Architects of Leamington Spa have been appointed to revisit the pavilion design before renewing the planning permission

The pavilion business plan is being updated accordingly

Work has begun on drafting applications to major funding sources

There are a number of ways you can get involved at this stage:

Commenting on the revised designs, as shown on this webpage and at notice boards around the village

Telling us how the HS2 development has affected your family’s life, which will help with one of the funding applications

Joining our expanding Pavilion Group to help us achieve the new sports pavilion to meet recreation needs for the whole village

You can email your comments to pavilion@bishopsitchington-pc.gov.uk or send them to the parish council at The Old Sorting Office, Chapel Street, Bishop's Itchington, Southam, CV47 2RB.

To help us gauge the disruption caused by the HS2 development as part of a funding application, we would like to hear from all local residents and businesses about:

How road closures and other restrictions have affected their lives so far

How future construction work may also have an effect

How the final rail link may have a lasting effect

Organising publicity, including articles for the Scene or posts for the Facebook Community page

Gathering information from villagers

Identifying the storage and other needs of different sporting activities

Refining the business plan

Helping with funding applications

Joining project management meetings
