Harbury Lane/Chesterton Road Junction Improvement Works Nighttime Road Closure

April 15 for 5 nights between 7:00 pm to 6:00 am

There will be Nighttime road closures at the junction of the B4455 Fosse Way / Harbury Lane / Chesterton Road for carriageway resurfacing.

The resurfacing works are scheduled to start on 15 April 2024 and are due to be completed on Saturday 20th April 2024 at 6:00 am.

The road closure is necessary to allow for the carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out safely and to minimise the disruption to traffic.

A diversion route will be in place (see below) with access to frontages maintained at all times.

Why are the works necessary? The works are necessary to satisfy planning conditions imposed as part of the planning permission associated with the Taylor Wimpey and David Wilson/Barratt Homes housing development for the Village Centre, planning decision notice ref. 15/00976/OUT and the County Council’s initiative to improve the safety and the capacity of the junction.

How long will they take to complete? These nighttime works will be carried out by our contractor Montel Civil Engineering Ltd and will be completed by 06:00 am on Saturday 20th April 2024.
