Deliveries of the tunnel boring equipment was set to resume from yesterday (Monday 26 April 2021). The majority of these will fall into the normal category (under 44 tonne).
This said, HS2 are expecting a 4.4m wide abnormal load in the early hours of tomorrow, Wednesday, 28th April (after midnight on Tuesday/early Wednesday morning). This convoy, which will be escorted by Warwickshire Police, will access Ridgeway Lane via B4451/B4452 through Bishop’s Itchington and Ufton.
We do not anticipate the noise levels to be so high that it would cause major, if any disruption. HS2 have assured us that every action will continue to be taken to minimise the potential impact of noise and vibration.
