HS2 are expecting two abnormal load (width of 3m and 3.2m) deliveries of Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) segments along the A423 through Southam (Coventry Road then turns right on to Welsh Road West) in the early hours of Thursday, 6th May.

A separate abnormal load (width 4.7m) delivery of TBM segments is expected in the early hours of Friday, 7th May. The intended route for this delivery is from the M40 junction 12 passing through Bishop’s Itchington and Ufton and on to our construction site at Long Itchington Wood via Ridgeway Lane.

HS2 are continuing to work closely with Warwickshire Police on essential arrangements for these abnormal load deliveries.

Please note these are indicative dates and times and are subject to change, for various reasons, at short notice. HS2 will notify the Parish Council of any changes as soon as they become aware of them.

HS2 do not anticipate the noise levels to be so high that it would cause major, if any disruption This said, HS2 assure us that every action will continue to be taken to minimise the potential impact of noise and vibration.
