    Pavillion Project: Planning Application - Permission Granted

    Notification has been received that the planning application has been successful and permission to proceed wiith the building of a replacement pavilion was granted on 5 July2021.

    Pavilion Project:

    • AT Architects of Leamington Spa have been appointed and have been asked to re-visit the Pavilion design in light of previous public consultation
    • Prepare revised plans before renewing planning permission
    • Work has begun on drafting applications to major funding sources
    • The Pavilion Business Plan is being updated in accordance with the revised plans
    • Funding Applications are being completed and will be submitted to major funding sources
    • Planning Application submitted to Stratford District Council and we are currently awaiting the outcome


    Ways to Become Involved:

    At this stage in the project, there are a number of ways to become involved:

    • Commenting on the revised designs which are shown opposite
    • Tell us how the HS2 development has affected your family's life. This will help with one of the funding applications
    • Become a member of our expanding Pavilion Group to help us achieve the new sports pavilion to meet the recreational  needs for the whole village

    Help Required:

    1. To help us gauge the disruption caused by the HS2 development as part of a funding application, we would like to hear from all local residents and       businesses about:

    • How road closures and other restrictions have affected your lives so far
    • How construction work may also have an effect
    • How the final rail link may have a lasting effect


    2. Please let us know if you may be able to help us with any of these project tasks:

    • Organising publicity, including articles for the Scene or posts for the Facebook Community page
    • Gathering information from villagers
    • Identifying the storage and other needs of different sporting activities
    • Refining the Business Plan
    • Helping with funding applications
    • Joining project management meetings

    Public Consutation Meetings:

    The first public consultation meeting was held via zoom on Tuesday 6 October 2020. See below:



    Project Management Team Meetings:

    It has been agreed to hold remote meetings every month and you are cordially invited to join in the meetings. The meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm. 

    The next meeting will be held usiung the zoom format - date to be advised.
